The Craziest 9-11 Conspiracy Theory...The One We Accepted
9-11 will be here shortly; perhaps we briefly should reflect upon it. I'm talking about the one that happened in the USA, not in Chile in 1973 (that one essentially was engineered by Henry Kissinger). I'm no expert in these matters, but I do have a Science background (both academic & practical) and am thoroughly familiar with the Scientific Method of Inquiry. The paragraph immediately below summarizes the craziest 9-11 conspiracy theory I've seen thus far...
Nineteen losers armed with box-cutters conspired to outwit & outmaneuver the entire U.S. Gov't Defense, Intelligence, & Security apparatus...and were successful. Now that's a doozie of a theory. Every poll I've seen indicates that slightly more than half of American adults no longer believe it.
I'm not going to re-hash all the contradictions in that theory. We've all seen them in documentaries and/or read about them in articles and books...ad infinitum. Much of the information was from reputable individuals or teams, both in the fields of Science and the Military. Most likely, none of us ever will know the full story of what happened (and why, and how) on our 9-11...but I'm relatively sure about one thing--- the Govt's version of the story really stinks.
Some people appear to believe there are only two choices relative to an explanation of what happened. According to them, either it's the way the Gov't described it OR our Gov't did it. Either one of those could be true, but those certainly are not the only choices. Please, think. There are probably at least a dozen other logical possibilities (not necessarily probabilities). Here's just one, as follows.
A few people, some high-ranking military or ex-military and police, claim that the Israeli Mossad somehow was involved. There is a little evidence supporting that hypothesis, but it is far from being conclusive. Before you completely poo-poo the idea, however, consider this. In the 1940's, the Brits essentially were driven out of British Palestine due to the terrorism perpetrated by the Jewish Irgun (founded in 1931 by a group of Haganah commanders). The well respected Menachem Begin was Commander of the Irgun (which split from the Haganah) and ordered armed resistance to the Brits...including the bombing of the King David Hotel. Brit Military Headquarters were there. [One country's "Terrorist" is another country's "Freedom Fighter".] To this very day, two things generally are recognized about the State of Israel & its leaders: they are masters of Black Ops; and they will do anything to protect their State. I'm not necessarily denigrating them for that, rather just stating what many consider absolute facts. Though not proof of anything, it's also true that Israel has benefitted greatly post-9-11.
I don't know exactly who was responsible for our 9-11, but it should be obvious that the investigation (though appearing otherwise) was badly flawed---from start to finish. IF the Fed Gov't (at the highest levels) did pull the wool over our eyes regarding 9-11, that's tragic; but what's also tragic is that they do it regarding mega bankers, the economy, employment, health care, war, monetary policy, fiscal policy, elections, and on & on. It's known as "molding the public mind" via Edward Bernays style Propaganda. Both public & private Oligarchs consider it an absolute necessity in a "democracy".

BOYCOTT Mega Banks
Shortly after WW II, the Financial Sector made up about 3% of the U.S. economy. Today it's just under 10%, but accounts for more than 30% of all corporate profits in this country. In the past, we had Finance Capitalism in this Land (relative to the Financial Sector). Banks, especially large ones, served a useful function by financing businesses and their expansions...thus creating new jobs. Now we have Casino Capitalism. Large banks put their (and your) money into bizarre financial derivatives and bets in the Futures markets. Estimates vary, but approximately $1.25 quadrillion in derivatives now are out in the marketplace. That amount is many times more than the GDP of the entire world. That's insanity, and puts us all at risk. Worst of all, that activity does not finance new businesses, expand old ones, or create any jobs.
On top of that, at the G-20 Meeting late last year, new rules were promulgated allowing 30 mega, international banks to be "Bailed-In" in the case of a financial crisis. That means those banks can appropriate the funds in YOUR accounts if they get into trouble. They simply seize your money. Supposedly then, FDIC Insurance bails you out...covers your losses, or more accurately, the theft of your money by the bank. Unfortunately, the FDIC "kitty" is only about $46 billion, while the deposits covered are in the trillions. The Fed Reserve could conjure-up the difference, but might not because that would make the dollar even weaker during an ongoing Crisis. [By the way, G-20 Rules are not a Treaty. The only approval necessary is that of the Executive Branch.] The new rules don't specify "depositors" or "bank customers", but rather the bank's "creditors". The largest bunch of creditors a bank has is made up of its depositors (customers). Whether you know it or not, every time you deposit money in a bank you are loaning that money to the bank. Your checkbook or savings book is the bank's I.O.U. So in those transactions, you are one of the bank's creditors. According to the G-20, your funds now can be appropriated by the bank if that bank is in crisis.
You might ask, how can this be? The G-20 was formed after the last Crisis and created a Financial Stability Board...a "financial regulator". They make the rules, and the G-20 leaders (of countries) usually go along automatically. Whether they fully understand the rules or not, leaders such as our President sign on the dotted line...with no approval of Congress. Needless to say, the process is in no way democratic.
Coupled with all of the above, in the last few years several mega banks (the corporations, not individual executives) have admitted to criminal manipulation of foreign currency exchanges, civil sub-prime mortgage fraud, other frauds, and of course, there was the Barclay's Bank LIBOR interest rate scandal. Some analysts have described these new moguls of Finance as thinking of themselves as Financial Gods and Masters of the Universe. Their hubris is incredible. They all need to be taken down about 100 notches.
You might ask, so what, what effect can I have on these conceited "investment" bankers? I would say, plenty. We could have a great effect if all or most (or even many) of us would boycott mega banks... ASAP. With the elimination of Glass-Steagall by Bill Clinton, Repubs, & Dems, the conceited mega bankers can & do gamble with your money. If their bets go radically wrong, they now can (with the blessing of the G-20) simply seize any money you have in their bank. Get out of all mega banks, NOW. Patronize your local bank; they'll be more than happy to have you as a customer. If at all possible, cut up your credit cards issued by mega banks. They borrow money for as low as POINT 25 percent (.25%) interest. What do they charge you? Credit cards are a racket.
The so-called "investment" banks are not that for the most part...not anymore. These mega banks are gambling in the stock market on Futures and Derivatives. Their (& your) money goes into foreign currencies, foreign capital investments, derivatives, and other no-job-creating ventures. They are gambling not only with individual depositor funds, but also with pension funds, and those of cities and counties. They sometimes bet against their own customers. They don't even especially care about the bank for which they work...it's all about getting rich quick, or richer. Financial analysts, meaning those who study the Financial Sector, mostly all agree that (in general) mega banks are parasites on our economy. We really have two separate economies in this country: the one representing & serving most of us; and the one representing & serving the mega banking Oligarchy. They are vastly different. When the highest levels of our Gov't report that things are improving in our economy, they aren't talking about the economy in which most of us find ourselves.
Mega banks should be broken up. They are parasites on the rest of us.
BOYCOTT them. Start now...for the sake of future generations, start now.

Oligarchs Are Trembling on Several Fronts
Open to anyone who knows how to do "library" research, public sources are revealing at a rapid rate how/why the Oligarchs (public & private) are getting extremely worried. I don't have the time or energy to delineate all their areas of concern, but here are a few.
1. Guatemala---
There is a peaceful, popular uprising going on there right now. For the time being, its focus is on corruption in the Gov't, a gov't backed by the highest levels of the USA Gov't. The worry is that if the Guatemalan Gov't topples, focus then may shift to the dark deeds of the current President back when he was a CIA operative, a Colonel & later a General in the Guatemalan Army & Intelligence Service, and led Death Squads which slaughtered Mayan people in Guatemala. The pretense for the slaughter was that the Mayans were the Boogie-Men of Choice back then, communists. This was all fully backed by the U.S. Gov't. & Reagan.
The Fed Gov't here has had Guatemala as a pet project ever since the early 1950's, when Edward Bernays was hired to develop & implement his unique style of propaganda falsely showing that the democratically elected President of Guatemala was a Communist. The guy wasn't a Communist, but he was overthrown. The old United Fruit Company then essentially ran Guatemala for years & years. Now we have the corrupt President of Guatemala, the Oligarch Molina (the former Death Squad Colonel), being propped up by the Obama Administration. Public and private Oligarchs always are concerned when it looks as though some Populist movement may be successful in installing a genuinely democratic government. I say "genuinely" because simply having elections doesn't guarantee a democracy.
2. Black Monday---
Monday, August 24, 2015 the Wall Street Market opened and lost 1,000 points in short order. It recovered about half of that by day's end, but Wall Streeters and the Fed Gov't were shaken to the core. The President's Working Group on Markets (or some similar title, can't remember), the so-called "Plunge Protection Team", made valiant efforts to help...largely to no avail. The Fed Reserve, part of the Team, did what it could but with little effect. The Corporate Media presently are claiming that the situation is now essentially back to normal...but that the Market remains "volatile".
Volatile, indeed. According to several reputable analysts (e.g., Paul Craig Roberts and James Rickards), the Stock Market has been enjoying an "Asset Bubble" that is propped up by the Fed Reserve...and the Ponzi Party is almost over. What the Oligarchs are worried about is as follows: 1. the elephant in the room--- the Bubble of the $1.25 quadrillion worth of bizarre financial derivatives floating around out in the marketplace, 2. the gargantuan amounts of currency being pumped into the world monetary system, and 3. loss of confidence in the dollar. The number one priority of any U.S. Administration is to preserve the perception that the dollar is strong.
3. The Exposure of Gold Price Manipulation---
Revelations of this manipulation have become more numerous recently. Not only are central banks, mega commercial banks, and mega Hedge Funds manipulating the price of gold (keeping it from rising), but now (according to James Rickards & others) the evidence strongly suggests that the highest levels of governments---including the USA---also are involved. [This is not news to those intimately involved in the gold market.] The demand for physical gold is through the roof, so much so that the available supply is almost completely dry. That means the price should be through the roof as well, but (given today's inflated dollar), it's not. Hmmm. Oligarchs need to keep the price of gold relatively low because a high price indicates that the dollar is weak. That's the very last perception the Oligarchy wants out in the world.
Along with the idea above, the Oligarchs are worried that their "Recovery" Propaganda is failing. It's becoming more obvious every day that we still are in a recession...and that a depression may be close at hand. Some analysts claim that the coming economic collapse will make the 1930's look like a picnic. I don't believe that any prognosticator can say such a thing with any degree of certainty; nevertheless, even I can see that things are not looking good. Despite what our Gov't reports, unemployment is relatively high, quality jobs are evaporating while inferior jobs proliferate, the prices of goods & services steadily are creeping up, Wall Street remains a giant casino, wages essentially continue their 30-year stagnation, the 700% rise in income (over 30 yrs) for the upper crust continues, "Free Trade" Agreements on steroids (which offshore manufacturing & jobs) are being pursued by Repubs & Dems, and many of the WORKING poor still qualify for public assistance programs. The Corporate Media say that the "Recovery" still is "fragile". It should be obvious that there is no Recovery. We're still in a recession...and sliding rapidly into a depression. Of course, that only applies to the Poor and Middle Classes. The Oligarchs (the top 1%, or some say, the top one-tenth of 1%) are doing just fine.

What the Right and the Left Don't Seem to Understand
The Right Wing in American politics doesn't appear to understand that probably the majority of Americans are fed up to the gills with Corporatism, Financialization, and the de-industrialization of our country. In addition, we're tired of all the squabbling over divisive, hot-button, social issues. Finally, we're really tired of people who say they stand for Freedom, but actually, it's only for the freedoms of which they approve.
The Left Wing doesn't appear to understand that, at the highest levels, almost all their major political players are Corporatist Neoliberals...pretty much the same as in the Right Wing. This is why, at the highest levels in American politics, the old labels of the past essentially are meaningless. [By "old labels", I mean all of the following: Republican, Democrat, Right, Left, Conservative, NeoConservative, Liberal, and Progressive.]
All of the above is true because of Neoliberalism. The Neoliberals here have staged a coup in our government at the national level. It wasn't a grand conspiracy of any kind, and it took many years to be successful. They did it mostly by sheer, dumb luck...and perseverance. I suspect that many people are totally unaware of it. Don't think for a moment I'm saying that I discovered it. I became aware of it over decades by listening to or reading the works of people such as Noam Chomsky, Carroll Quigley, Ron Paul, Ralph Nader, Paul Craig Roberts, David Stockman, Jeremy Scahill, Naomi Klein, Lori Wallach, Glenn Greenwald, David Rockefeller, and several others.
I'm aware that all of the above most likely is not accepted as true by many (perhaps most) Americans. That's unfortunate because, believe it or not, the new political paradigm is the Oligarchy versus the rest of us. The Oligarchy consists of Corporatist Neoliberals both in and out of government...with a revolving door between the two. They believe in, support, and work for Globalization, "Free Trade" Agreements, Financialization, the de-industrialization of America, and Mega Corporations. They have us on a steady and fast path to some form of NeoFeudalism--- with two economic classes: the relatively poor and the super-rich.
At the street level, Right-Wingers seem to reject this thesis more than do the Left-Wingers. At the highest level, I'm guessing all of them simply accept it, but don't talk about it much. At that level, they all are aware that they belong to a special club, one to which street level people will never gain entrance. I've heard (on news clips) a few CEOs refer to the rest of us as the "little people" or the "small people". I've also heard prominent politicians (not knowing the microphone was still open) say that the "American people are just stupid". Those anecdotes don't prove anything, but they do give a person pause to think.
This whole issue is not Right-Left, or Republican-Democrat, or Conservative-Progressive in nature. It's devastatingly unfortunate that many or most Americans still are thinking in those terms. That's how the Corporatists beat us: Distract, Divide, & Conquer. By the way, Corporatism is Fascism; every historian I've ever read on the subject agrees with that.
It is long past time that we heed the words of the billionaire, Warren Buffett: "We are in a Class War in this country, and unfortunately, my Class is winning.".

Part II: "Fixing" Our Government [Redux]
I posted this (below) about four months ago. With a few very, very minor changes, I'm re-posting it now because I think it's important relative to the Kabuki Theater electioneering presently taking place. [Sorry, but the format didn't copy correctly, and I don't have time to fix it.]
Below is my response to an email I received from some friends. In their email, they talked about the importance of the right to vote, and the fact that they weren't clear on what my solution was to the problem of our governmental (& economic) mess.
I suspect that you guys still think
the Rotten System can be corrected from within the system. If that were true, then it would be corrected by now... especially given that we've had at least 100 yrs to do so. Keeping you in that Rigged Game is a huge part of the Propaganda. Currently, voting at the national level is a complete waste of time, and more importantly, it perpetuates the Rigged Game. That will change only when changes from outside the system force changes within the system.
As to clear answers on what to do, I agree with you, but only up to a certain point. I think
this is pretty clear: "As long as Americans stay stuck in this Repubs v. Dems charade, that all
will continue.". And this: "...the very first step in "fixing" our Gov't and
overcoming the Coup of Neoliberalism is this: somehow we have to destroy and/or expose
Edward Bernays style Propaganda.". ["somehow" would include writing, talking, songs, other
Art, discussions, websites, formal speeches, ads, flyers, and especially, organizing.] This stuff will
not happen overnight, if at all.
And this is clear: "Don't vote at the national level.". The
Establishment has to be shown that We the People are in charge. When we vote, they know
we're not. I know, that sounds counterintuitive, but it's true. [The Rich & Powerful select,
groom, & finance probably 99% of all candidates at the national level. The remaining 1% are marginalized by the corrupt system.
So, how does voting
help correct that?] The top-down, dictatorial Republican & Democrat Parties (along with the Corporatocracy) will select
total Yahoos for Presidential candidates in the next election. Any 3rd Party doesn't have a
chance in hell because of Propaganda, the Corporate Media, & harsh ballot-access laws.
How does voting help correct that? I'm serious. Voting perpetuates the problem.
I don't know the complete solution to the problem, but I'm fairly certain of where to start.
The Propaganda of the Neoliberals must be exposed...that's 1st. Then, peaceful activism
outside the Rotten System must be organized & instituted. That means either
individually, or in groups, or both, we have to boycott, demonstrate, & otherwise protest.
That can be done any number of ways... it doesn't necessarily mean marching down the street
with banners held high. Many things can be done quietly & anonymously... e.g., boycotts of
Mega Banks (who finance corrupt politicians). Even in a dictatorship, public opinion matters;
but making it matter requires hard work & solidarity. Right now, Americans are so
fragmented that it's no surprise we're essentially beaten.
There are many, many obstacles to solving America's mess. One is that too many of us
think that things can be solved fairly quickly... by voting, for example. I don't have a lot of
hope that Americans ever will overcome the Neoliberalism Coup, or even understand what
that is. But I keep writing & making vids... because I have very young grandchildren, & fear
for their future. NeoFeudalism is almost upon us. Voting won't stop it.

Quagmires and Plain Craziness, in the USA and Abroad
1. Our Gov't continues its two and a half decade war in Iraq. If I recall correctly, that war started in 1990. There were a few brief respites between then & now, but not many. [I count "sanctions" as acts of war... because History does as well.] Just prior to 1990, Saddam & our Gov't Oligarchs were best buddies. He was taken OFF the Terrorist Watch List by Reagan, I think it was, because Iraq was in a war with Iran. We continue on in Iraq not because of "spreading democracy" or "fighting terrorism" or whatever the current excuse may be, but rather because our access to Iraq's oil is not yet secure.
2. Similarly, our Gov't continues to wage war (Gov't Oligarchs call it "counter-terrorism") in Afghanistan because geologists estimate that a one trillion dollar bonanza in minerals lies under the ground there. [Some of those minerals are rare and just about mined-out everywhere else.] The U.S. Gov't wants to secure access to that bonanza.
3. Our President continues to meet every Tuesday with some number of other Executive Branch outlaws in order to choose which people to murder in "counter-terrorism" drone attacks. [In most cases, such people are SUSPECTS.] Again, I point out that such action by the Executive Branch is a direct violation of the U.S. Constitution. One of the clauses in Article I, Section 8 clearly states that Letters of Marque and Reprisal (assassination orders) are to be issued by the Congress. The Executive has no authority in that area. Being Commander-in-Chief never has meant that the President gets to ignore some parts of the Supreme Law of the Land.
4. Our Govt's Terrorist Watch List (or whatever the hack politicians call it) is completely illegal. Admittedly, I'm not an attorney...thank Buddha-Mind (or "God", if you prefer); however, I do have a fairly good grasp of Logic and I'm very familiar with the Constitution. I say that List is illegal because it accuses and harms people without them knowing about it until it's too late. Plus, there's no appeal, no recourse, no chance to defend oneself. You are deemed guilty until the Gov't changes its mind. That whole scenario is not fair, just, or legal. It's one more piece of evidence that we are in a Soft Fascist State.
5. The Gov't of Turkey is now bombing both ISIS and the Kurds in northern Iraq, the same Kurds who are fighting ISIS. Institutional idiocy.
6. The Gov't of Germany (the richest country in Europe), along with the European Central Bank and others (including Hedge Funds), have refused to write-down Greece's debt to a point where it can be repaid. After WW I, that's exactly the break that Germany got relative to its debt. That's why, prior to Hitler, Germany was at the pinnacle of European culture and productivity. The Germans were able to recover from WW I because their debt was reduced by their creditors. [By the way, some portion of Greece's debt has been purchased at discounted prices by Hedge Funds, which stand to benefit greatly from the "Austerity" being imposed upon Greece.] So now, pensions in Greece are being reduced to about $94 per month. Public infrastructure will be sold to mega corporations. Taxes will be raised in an already devastated economy. Way to go, Germany, et. al. Save the rich creditors, ruin Greece. Great plan.
7. The Police State in the USA continues on. Read the headlines. Plus, because cities & counties have lost so much tax revenue (due to Oligarchs moving manufacturing out of our country), in some places a driver can be ticketed & fined for having anything hanging from the rear view mirror...such as a deodorizer or a chain. Then, too, there is Civil Asset Forfeiture. With no charge, no indictment, no trial, nothing, your cash and other property can be seized by police because it's "suspicious". For example, a significant amount of cash can be taken from you because the cop suspects that you may buy drugs with it...probable cause is not required. Another example: if you have certain tools in your car, they can be taken with no due process... because the cop thinks you're going to commit a burglary with them. Have mercy.
8. Saudi Arabia continues to behead people for "crimes" such as sorcery and blasphemy. These barbarians are our allies, folks. Again, have mercy. Never mind that the State there sponsors the most radical form of Sunni Islam (Wahhabism) in existence... they behead people for "crimes" such as blasphemy and adultery. Wake up, DC politicos.
9. Obama continues to deny that his wars are war at all. Instead, they are deemed "counter-terrorism". Orwell would be proud. The Constitution is clear about who can put this country at war... and it's not the President. It appears, though, that very few Americans care whether or not our "leader" is violating the Supreme Law of the Land. Amazing.
10. It looks as though most Americans are gearing up for the phony national election next year. For eight years, I've used this blog to detail why our whole political scene is a farce... so I won't repeat myself now.

Extra! Extra! Read All About It!
The Kabuki Theater production of "The 2016 Election in The USA" is only a bit more than a year away. Attention actors: get your Kabuki masks or makeup early. The Kabuki-loving crowd in America promises to be a large one. Come one, come all!
We Americans should be thoroughly embarrassed and ashamed that: 1. we allow this type of charade to take place; and 2. we participate in it believing that "if we can just get the right people in office, things will be much better". After over 200 years of such thinking, one perhaps would recognize that it just isn't true. Politicians say what the ad agencies tell them to (after opinion polls, focus groups, etc.), and after the election, they serve their true constituency---the Oligarchy. Probably 99% of national political candidates are selected, groomed, and financed by the Rich & Powerful. The remaining 1% quickly are marginalized or eliminated by the Corporate Media and Institutional Inertia. The Rigged Game then continues.
The sad truth is that voting at the national level in this country doesn't matter at all. The best and easiest way to send a powerful message to the non-representative Gov't in DC and to the non-elected Rulers in the Corporatocracy is don't vote at the national level. That truly would shake up the Establishment and show who really possesses the power in this Land. If we could get voting down to 5% or even 10%, the Powers That Be would have a collective fit. They would understand that the jig is up. The propaganda just isn't working anymore.
Of course, I don't expect any of that to happen. The Edward Bernays style propaganda is too ingrained, too relentless, and too long-running. Even if it were to be recognized fully, we Americans lost our nerve long ago when it comes to changing a political system which has become corrupted and perverted. Besides, even though we're still in an economic disaster here, we're too distracted by "hot-button" social issues to care about anything else political. Plus, we've more or less adapted to stagnant wages and salaries. Finally, we appear to be distracted by sports events & sports "news", soap operas, "reality" shows, and other similar fluff. Oh, I almost forgot, we're also distracted by "The Boogie Man is coming". [Yes, some tragic events have happened...but that has been true throughout History.]
Despite all the above, I still have a dream and a hope that my fellow countrymen (& women) will come to understand several elementary truths, as follows.
1. Along with our Republic, the old ways in politics are long gone.
2. A Neoliberal Coup has taken place right under our noses, and it wasn't a "conspiracy".
3. At the highest levels in politics, the old labels are completely meaningless.
4. The new political paradigm is the Oligarchy versus the rest of us.
5. Wealth is being transferred from the poor & middle classes to the upper crust at an unprecedented rate.
6. Voting will not correct any of the above. (Neither will violence.)
7. Only boycotts, shunning, and other means of passive resistance will begin to correct the situation.
8. Propaganda by the Corporate Media, other mega corporations, and the highest levels in DC is rampant.
9. Capitalism and Socialism are economic systems, not political systems. The primary cause of our problems is political Crony Capitalism, not economic Capitalism. It's the current political system here that must be changed, not the economic system. [As I pointed out in a previous post, we have a Mixed Economy; we've never had Free Market Capitalism, not even in the days of the "Robber Barons".]
10. As long as Big Money is pervasive in our politics, politicians (in general) will serve Big Business instead of the rest of us.
11. The first step in reclaiming our government is to stop drinking the Propaganda Kool Aid.
12. Our situation cannot be corrected from within the current system. Before that can happen, Oligarchs have to be shown who really has the power. Voting will not do that...99% of your choices at the ballot box are servants of the Rich and Powerful. The other 1% are toast; they will be marginalized by the corrupt cronyism in the current system.
